Nauticus National Maritime Center is an interactive museum and science center in downtown Norfolk, Virginia that explores the nautical and naval areas. Hosting the USS Wisconsin, the center features battleship Wisconsin-related displays, together with an aquarium, national-caliber traveling showcases, hands-on exhibits, the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, HD and 3-D films on a huge screen, and many more. Apart from exhibits relating to marine science and technology, Nauticus also offers numerous educational programs and camps for students and teachers that are action-oriented and fun at the same time.
Nauticus National Maritime Center serves as an icon on Naval Station Norfolk, which is the largest naval base on the planet. A walking distance from the museum is the Town Point Park, which is Norfolk’s beautiful waterfront park that provides eight acres of space for dining, strolling, relaxing, and many more.
