Sinop: Exploring the Rich History of the Coastal City in Northern Turkey
Previously called Sinope, Sinop is a city close to the Cape Sinope on the northern side of the country. It is one of the coasts of the Black Sea and currently serves as the provincial capital of Sinop. The town is home to historical and century-old sites, some of which date back to the early 1200s. This ultimately attracted various hotels and accommodations to the area. Sinop, Turkey, can be reached by plane via its own airfield, Sinop Airport (NOP), which connects the city to Istanbul.
Best Time to Visit
The Film Festival on Wheels typically drops by the city every year in December. So if you’re looking to enjoy the cultural aspect of the country, you should not miss the opportunity to watch one of the movies. During this time of year, the tourist population is relatively slow, so expect cheaper airfare and Sinop, Turkey hotels, as well.
What to Do & Area Attractions
