Don Mueng International Airport is a mixed military and public airport that serves the areas of Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi and Bangkok, Thailand. The airport is one of the two international airports located in Bangkok and was originally known as Bangkok International Airport. DMK Airport is considered to be one of the oldest international airport in the world and also the oldest in Asia. Don Mueang International Airport is also among the list of the oldest commercial airports in the world.

Don Mueang International Airport peaked during 2004 and had 80 airlines operating in the airport. It had 160,000 flights during that year with over 38 million passenger traffic and 700,000 tons of cargo served. This landed DMK as the 14th busiest airport in the world and second in Asia. The airport is currently the main hub for Thai AirAsia, New Gen Airways, Thai Lion Air and Nok Air. Banglamphu is a nearby region to the airport where there are plenty of shops, great nightlife, temples and places to art, history and culture.
