Cologne Bonn Airport – CGN Cologne
Also known as Flughafen Köln-Wahn, Cologne Bonn Airport is the airport of the fourth biggest city in Germany, Cologne. It can be found in Porz District surrounded by the Wahner Heidi nature reserve. Around 12.4 million passengers were served in CGN Cologne in 2017 making it in the seventh place as Germany’s largest passenger airport. It has flights from 115 passenger destinations in 35 different countries in March 2015. Cologne Bonn Airport are just one of the few airports in the country to operate 24/7. The Cologne Bonn Airport has two terminals, which is seated right next to each other. The Terminal 1 is a U-shaped building with some shops, restaurants, check in and service facilities. It also has its own direction that links to the railway station. Terminal 2 is a modern design rectangular shaped building made of glass and steel and is connected to the railway station of the airport through the basement level. A great selection of bars, restaurants, cafes and fast food outlets are to be found in both terminals. Some snack bars in Terminal 2 is open 24/7. There are also fashion boutique, children’s toyshop and some other souvenir shops in both terminals as well. Passengers from surrounding cities like Huerth and Leverkusen also travel through CGN Cologne.
