Arese: From a Factory to a Modernizing City
Arese is a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Milan and has gained its city status in 1985. It started as the original seat of Alfa Romeo vehicle production, but the factory eventually closed. Malpensa International Airport (MXP) and the Agno Airport (LUG) are some of the major airports serving Arese.
Best Time to Visit
Milan is only 30 minutes away via bus ride to the town of Arese. Trains and taxis are also available when planning to visit there. One may consider going Arese from April to July because the weather in these months are relatively pleasant for traveling. Flight and hotel prices may also be less expensive during December as fewer tourists arrive in the town.
What to Do & Area Attractions
One of the main attractions when going to Arese is the Alfa Romeo Museum, which features manufactured cars until its closure in 2011. If one is looking for a stunning place suited for special celebrations like weddings and birthdays, La Valera di Arese is welcoming clients with their very accommodating personnel. A few miles away from Arese stands the Tree of Life, which is popular as a venue for music festivals, and light and water shows in Milan.
Although a relatively small city, a lot of city hotels offer valuable accommodation to their guests. First in line is Hotel La Toretta, which is near some tourist sites such as Alfa Romeo Museum and the Fiera Milano Exhibition Center. There is also Flat 2015, which offers an apartment-type place to stay but it is advisable to locate the area via taxi or personal car. One may also enjoy a buffet breakfast at a brand new 4-star hotel in Milan named Hotel Fiera Milano.
