Sollentuna: Swedish Pride
Sollentuna, Sweden is a municipality in Stockholm County founded in 1863. It was inaugurated in 1866. Almost a hundred years later, it officially became a merchant town. The nearest airports, serving the city include the Stockholm Bromma Airport (BMA), and Stockholm Skavsta Airport (NYO) or Nykoping Airport.

The best time to visit Sollentuna is during the months of May through September, for the perfect weather. The busiest months are usually May, June, and August. Tourists are least likely to visit in December. One of the most anticipated events in the area is Stockholm International Tap Dance Festival, which is held every April. It celebrates world-class tap dance, featuring some of the world’s best artists and teachers in the craft. The event offers a platform for everyone to meet dancers from different parts of the world.
What to Do & Area Attractions
Berzelii Park is one of the most famous attractions in the area. Berns Salonger Restaurant and Theater, and China Theater are located here. Opened in 1858, it was named after Jons Jacob Berzelius, a Swedish chemist. Tourists should also visit Ulriksdal Palace, a royal palace in Solna. It was first known as “Jakobsdal”, after its original owner Jacob De la Gardie. It opened its doors to the public in 1986. The preserved rooms currently contain the original furnishings. Its current design is the work of architect Nicodemus Tessin the Elder. Many Sollentuna hotels offer luxurious hospitality at reasonable rates.
