The Lakefront Airport is one of the three airports in Louisiana. It is located around 3.5 miles northeast of New Orleans, U.S. State of Louisiana and serves New Orleans and the nearby areas. The Lakefront Airport code which is NEW,is taken fromthe airport’s old name New Orleans Airport. It is classified as a public type airport. It was in 1934, that the airport was inaugurated with Sushan Airport as its first name, later New Orleans, and finally, the present name.
