The Sahnewal Airport, which resides at an elevation of 254 meters above the mean sea level, covers no less than 130 acres of land. It has one runway, an asphalt-paved airstrip spanning to a length of 1,463 meters, and one passenger terminal that can only handle 40 passengers. It was resumed three years later under the UDAN scheme, but the flight is now served by Alliance Air, a subsidiary of Air India. While visiting Ludhiana and its neighboring cities, you can also drive to Abadpura, Jalandhar, and Talhan.
