Kaohsiung: A Perfect Getaway at the Harbor City
Located on the coast of Taiwan, Kaohsiung is a special municipality with about three million residents. Kaohsiung, Taiwan is the second biggest metropolis in the country and the third-largest in terms of population. It is nicknamed as “The Harbor City,” “The Maritime Capital,” and “The Waterfront City.” To reach the city via plane, you can book your flight to the Kaohsiung International Airport or the nearby Chiayi Airport and the Tainan Airport. November promises a festive Kaohsiung city, especially during the ZuoyingWannian Festival which is held at Lotus Lake and features lion dances, colorful fireworks, and folklore activities. However, the city is at its busiest during this season as well since the weather is generally pleasant with occasional rain showers. Expect Kaohsiung, Taiwan hotels to be packed and expensive during this season. March is the least busy month for the city when tourism is at its slowest.
