Lyudao Airport– GNI Green Island
Lyudao Airport, also called Green Island Airport, is located in Green Island, Lyudao, Taiwan in Taitung County. The Civil Aeronautics Administration, which is a government agency of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications in Taiwan, runs the operation of the airport. Lyudao is also known as the Green Island, a small volcanic island in the Pacific Ocean. It is known for dive sites perfect for recreational diving and popularly visited by tourists. It is also famous for Zhaori Hot Spring.
Best Time to Visit
GNI-Ludao Airport has a single asphalt runway measuring 3,255 by 75 feet and is nine meters above sea level. The Taiwan Garrison Command controlled the airport after it was built in 1972. It was only in 1977 that the Civil Aeronautics Administration took over. It is served by Daily Air to a destination in Taitung. The airport is at the edge of Nanliao Village around 500 meters from the main drag. The airport is surrounded by the citiesfrom the main island like Sanmin, Qijin District, Maolin, Kaohsiung, Fongshan District and many others.
