Cut Off: City La Coupe Cote Blanche
Historically known as La Coupe, Cut Off, LA got its name because of a dam built nearby that was used to “cut off” the passage to shorten travel time. At some point during the 1900s, a whole line of homes were painted startlingly white, creating a coast of abnormally white houses – thus earning it the name Cote Blanch which means “white coast” in French.
