Zhytomyr International Airport serves as an airport in Zhytomyr, Ukraine. The airport is situated on the east side of the city in the province of Zhytomyr Oblast. It is the maintenance hub for Yanair, an airline that is headquartered at Kiev. Zhytomyr International Airport began its operation in 1939. In 2011, the airport was stripped of its registration, as it has not been receiving airplanes since 1990. The airport of Zhytomyr reopened in 2016 of January upon receipt of its certification, and Saab 340 landed in the airport as a technical flight operation.

Zhytomyr International Airport, with its airport code ZTR, is also called as Smokovka Airport. It has one asphalt runway measuring 1,650 feet. After 25 years of non-operation, the newly renovated airport is now ready for the public. It's re-introduction to the public is said to have opened around 100 jobs at the airport. ZTR airport is open from 0700H until 1600H, Monday to Friday only. From the airport, travelers can easily access Teterivka or Zhytomyr popular tourist destinations.
