Yichun – Relax in the Hot Springs of Yichun
Yichun is a city in the Jiangxi Province of China. It is a mountainous city and is known for its Buddhist culture. In fact, the monastic rules at the Buddhist temple originated from the city of Yichun. Aside from Buddhism, Yichun, China is also known for being the birthplace of several literary figures the likes of Deng Gu and Tao Yuanming. Lastly, the name Yichun literally translates to pleasant spring. Many hot springs can be found in the city, 2 of them being the more popular for tourists. Travelers bound for Yichun will arrive at the city’s airport, the Yichun Mingyueshan Airport (YIC), which is only 3.5 miles from downtown.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Yichun is from months of late May to early September. The weather is most pleasant during these months, making it comfortable for tourists to explore the city. The busiest month for tourism in the city is April, so hotel rooms may be hard to come by. The city celebrates the mid-autumn festival by releasing sky lanterns. This should be an interesting time to visit for first time travelers to Yichun.
