Williamstown, Vermont is part of Orange County and considered a big town in terms of population. The town was inaugurated in 1781. It was named after a town in Massachusetts. The first settlers set up their homes on the west hill area. One of the first landowners is Elijah Paine who represented the town in a General Assembly. She also became a Supreme Court Justice and US senator. One of the popular attractions in town is the scenic Gulf which was the site of medicinal springs. It drew a lot of tourists in the area because of the rich flora and fauna in the area.

The best months to visit Williamstown is from May to September. The weather is pleasant and there are various events scheduled. Probably the most popular attraction in town is the Ainsworth State Park. It is a 905-acre park that is situated in the heart of the town.
