Vrdnik: A Serbian Destination for Ultimate Relaxation
Vrdnik, Serbia is a village in Irig, Vojvodina, first documented in the early 14th century. Its development began upon the discovery of large deposits in a brown coal mine in 1804. Today, it is a perfect site for winemaking. It is also renowned for its thermal spa.

The best time to visit Vrdnik is during the months of April through October, for the perfect weather. The busiest months are usually February, August, and October. Tourists are least likely to visit in March. One of the most anticipated nearby events is the EXIT Festival in Novi Sad, which is held every July. Established as a student movement fighting for democracy and freedom in 2000, it is now an award-winning summer music festival. With more than 40 festival zones and stages, it remains grounded on its mission— to promote social change through and with music. One of the most well-known attractions in the village is Vrdnik-Ravanica Monastery or Little Ravanica.
