Vinaros: Coastal Paradise In Northeastern Spain
The agricultural and industrial village of Vinaros is the northernmost toes in Costa del Azahar in the province of Castellon in Spain. Known for being the source of delectable prawns in the region, this coastal city is a popular fishing harbour and tourist destination in this part of the country. This town can be reached by tourists from other parts of the country and the world through the Castellon-Costa Azahar Airport.
Best Time to Visit
Since this is a coastal area, tourists flock in town during summer to enjoy the beaches. But the influx of tourists usually happens before the Lenten season when the Carnival Vinaros-Carnestoltes is celebrated annually. January is another popular month for Vinaros, Spain hotels since more tourists book their rooms to join different feast days in town. Meanwhile, August also draws the crowd because of the celebration of the Fiestas del Langoustine or the Prawn/Langoustine Festival.
What to Do & Area Attractions
There are multiple beaches all over the Port of Vinaros, including the Playa del Forti, and the Playa del Fora del Forat. The churches in town are also a sight to behold, including the Vinaros Church of our Lady of the Assumption located at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Because of the town’s numerous beaches, lots of hotels and resorts can be found in the area. One of the most popular is the Hotel RH Vinaros Aura, which can be seen 200 meters away from Clot Beach.
