Podgorica Airport – TGD Airport
Podgorica Airport is a public international airport located in Golubovci, Montenegro. It is owned by the government of Montenegro and operated by the Airports of Montenegro. It is one of two international airports in the country, the other being Tivat Airport.
Best Time to Visit
The history of TGD airport can be traced back to May 1928 as a small airfield near the city’s train station. Scheduled passenger service wouldn’t begin until May 1930 with the help of the Belgrade-Sarajevo-Podgorica line. Passenger service temporary halted during the World War II but resumed after on April 1947. The airport code is TGD because it was named after Titograd from the years 1946 to 1992. Currently, the airport is served scheduled passenger service by several airlines namely Aegean Airlines, Air Serbia, and Alitalia to name a few. Local residents from Nikšić, Pljevlja, and Podgorica also use the air services of TGD Airport.

One of the nearest hotels to the Podgorica Airport is the Apartments Airport.
