Teruel, Spain: Town of Moorish-influenced Architecture
Known for jamón serrano, a kind of dry-cured ham and Mudéjar Architecture of Aragon, which earned UNESCO’s World Heritage Site, Teruel is nicknamed as the “Town of Moorish-influenced Architecture.” It is a city in Aragon, Teruel Province, Spain. Although Teruel is a small town and it has no direct link to Madrid, it is a place not very known but endowed with many attractions, most of which are historical churches, monuments, plazas, villages, towers, rivers, and walls which mostly UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. The nearest and known airports that serve Teruel are Valencia Airport and Zaragosa Airport both serves domestic and international flights.

Based on the region’s climate, the best time of the year to visit Teruel, Spain is from months of April to July and from August to October. The Angel Festival is a big festival in Teruel where thousands of people gather in Torico square with neckerchief. They run around the bulls, dance, watch live entertainment and taste the jamon serrano. It is celebrated every July.
What to Do & Area Attractions
You can view either from the Museum of the Wall or from the entrance of the city the Acueducto Viaducto ge los Arcos, one of the most visited attractions in Teruel.
