Taranto-Grottaglie Airport is a public airport that serves the Italian communes of Taranto and Grottaglie in the Taranto Province. It is located less than a mile from the city of Monteiasi, Taranto, 2.5 miles from Grottaglie, and 10 miles from Taranto. The TAR airport, commonly referred to as the Grottaglie Airport, is used for general aviation with commercial flights available on the site. The airport has also been selected to be the first Italian commercial spaceport to service suborbital flights.

This airport has a long history that dates back to the World War II. At an elevation of 215 feet above mean sea level, the Taranto-Grottaglie Airport features a single asphalt runway with a length of 10,500 feet. The airport is kwon to be the site of production of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner fuselage, the parts of which are picked up by a Boeing 747 Large Cargo Freighter several times every month.
