Salinas Municipal Airport (SNS) is designated in the 2017-2021 National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems as a regional general aviation airport. Located three miles southeast of Salinas, California, it got its start as an airfield which opened in 1941 as Salinas Army Air Field and was used by the US Army Air Forces during the war. SNS does not offer commercial service but is a top destination for business aviation in the area. Catering to over 80,000 annual flight operations, the airport provides immediate entry into the California Central Coast.
