Severodonetsk International Airport – SEV Sievierodonetsk
Severodonetsk International Airport with code SEV is located in Sievierodonestk. It is found in the province of Luhansk, Ukraine. This airport is considered as the main air facility in the region. It replaced the Luhansk International Airport, which was considered as the prime facility, but it was damaged during civil unrest called War in Dunbass. It was closed down on June 11, 2014. This was a clash between pro-Russian and anti-government protesters. Luhansk is a city found in the eastern section of Ukraine bordering the west of Russia. It is the capital of Luhansk People’s Republic, which was an unrecognized region that was built in 2014.

Severodonetsk International Airport only meets the basic needs of nearby cities in terms of aviation. The infrastructure definitely lacks technological advancement. Safety, quality, and passenger efficiency aspect of the airport doesn’t meet modern standards. This is in comparison to other airports in the country. The aviation in Ukraine is developing and it has established a visa-free program for citizens of Europe and other Western countries.
