Seneca, Kansas: A Quiet Historical City in Northeastern Kansas
Seneca, Kansas serves as the seat of Nemaha County. It sits in the northeastern section of the state and houses almost 2,000 occupants as of 2010. While the town was initially founded in the late 1850s, the first post office became operational a year later. Seneca was actually called as such in honor of a county in Ohio with the same name.
