Searcy: A Relaxing Escape to the White County
Named after Richard Searcy, the town of Searcy, AR, this little town was laid out by Israel Moore whose original streets were named after the streets in Philadelphia. Originally named after the White Sulphur Springs were the region is located, the area is also situated at the Little Red River. People started coming to the place after the so-called healing properties of the waters in the White Sulphur Springs. However, such healing properties were defunct later on, but did not prevent tourists from exploring and enjoying what the town has to offer.
