Rajahmundry Airport – RJA Rajahmundry
Rajahmundry Airport is a public-use airport situated in the city o Rajahmundry also called Rajamahendravaram, the cultural center of Andhra Pradesh in India. It has a designated IATA airport code of RJA and is being operated by Airports Authority of India under the management of Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation. The airport serves the air traffic operations of Rajahmundry as well as its nearby cities of Chagallu, Nidadavole and Rajanagaram.

Rajahmundry Airport (RJA) has started its construction during the British period at 146 hectares of land area. In 2007, the Airports Aviation of India (AAI) granted additional funds for the modernization of the airport. A new terminal passenger building has been constructed with control tower and the runway was lengthened allowing bigger aircraft landings. The airport has a single asphalt runway measuring 3,125 meters long. As of March 2019, the airport has boarded over 440,000 passengers with a total of nearly 8,600 aircraft operations. Rajahmundry Airport air traffic operations are being handled by Indigo and TruJet to destinations that include Bengalaru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.
