Ribeira Brava, as it is located seafront and sits at the foot of a mountain, has a relatively cool and windy climate all throughout the year. It is the warmest during the middle of the year from June to August and thus, would be the ideal months to visit especially if you want to get a tan. Keep in mind that these are also the peak months for tourism and Ribeira Brava hotels have higher rates. If you are a fan of beer, the come around May and celebrate the Ribeira Brava Beer Festival with the locals.
