Warri Airport - QRW
Popularly known as Osubi Airstrip, Warri Airport is a public airport that serves the area of Warri, Nigeria and its nearby municipalities. Located in the Delta State, it is owned and operated by the Royal Dutch Shell, or simple Shell, one of the biggest and most popular oil and gas companies in the world. QRW Airport is located in Osubi that is about 6.2 miles from the northeastern region of the city. It features a non-directional beacon located on its field.
Best Time to Visit
Before the airport was fully constructed, there was a small airstrip constructed in the area as well as a small terminal and aircraft hangar. After the completion of the current airstrip, Warri Airport quickly became one of the busiest airports in Nigeria. An additional airstrip is planned to be built in the area to be able to accommodate the increase in passenger and air traffic demand in the airport. Close to the area of Warri, there are plenty of recreational activities to do close to the airport. The Warri Kingdom Royal Cemetery and the Delta Shopping Mall are close to these areas.
