Mercedita Airport– PSE Mercedita
Inaugurated on November 1, 2019 as international military and passenger airport, Mercedita Airport is an airport located in the south coast city of Ponce in Puerto Rico with an assigned airport code of PSE. The airport was considered the biggest airport for military staff number and rank 2nd for military cargo shipments. Mercedita Airport is owned by the city government but is being operated by Puerto Rico Ports Authority serving the air traffic of the entire city of Ponce famous for the historic Victorian community street called Calle 25 de Enero.

Mercedita Airport has a total land area of 262.2 acres with on single asphalt runway measuring 8,000 meters long. The Puerto Rico Ports Authority has invested $7million in 2011 for the airport’s renovation that includes the construction of two more jetways to the terminal and lengthening the existing runway. As of 2014, airport has nearly 215,000 passenger enplanements and more than 6,200 aircraft movements. The airport’s flight service is solely catered by JetBlue to New York and Orlando.
