Princeton, Exploring the Growing Community on the Rum River
Princeton, Minnesota is a city located at both Sherburne and Mille Lacs counties. It houses only about 4,600 residents, the majority of which resides in Mille Lacs County. The town mostly developed its living through the nearby Rum River. In the mid-1800s, the residents of the area make a living out of lumbering, brickmaking, and farming. Tourists can enjoy the numerous businesses and hotels located in the downtown area.

The city experiences cold weather for half of the year and relatively nicer weather for the other half. That said, the best times to visit the area is between mid-May to late September. Princeton, MN celebrates plenty of festivals and events all year-round, some of which are the Rum River Festival in June and the Chili Fest in September, both of which attracts hundreds of tourists far and wide. On the other hand, November accommodates the least number of tourist for the year, and with this comes discounted hotel rates and airfare.
