Carlos Drummond De Andrade was a famous poet who was born in Minas Gerais. Currently, the airport is operated by Infraero which is responsible for operations of Brazil Airport. Belo Horizonte is translated to Beautiful Horizon. It is the sixth-largest city in Brazil. It has a population of about 2.5 million people. The town falls in 13th place when it comes to the cities of South America. It is also one of the most populous areas in Brazil.

Bela Horizonte Airport or Pampulha Airport opened its doors in 1933. It served as a support facility to the flights being operated by Brazilian Airforce.
