Providenciales International Airport-PLS airport is the primary international in Turks and Caicos Islands. Turks and Caicos Islands is part of the British Overseas Territory of United Kingdom. PLS airport had undergone renovation in 2014 which added another extension to the previous runway. The current runway of PLS airport spans for 2,804 meters with asphalt surface. According to Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority (TCIAA), future development may include additional terminals or extend the current structure. With all the upgrades in the airport facilities and runways, PLS airport can now land the largest aircraft type Boeing 777-200 which is operated by the British Airways with international flight to London Gatwick Airport.
