Pico Airport - PIX
Pico Airport in Pico Island, Portugal is a public airport operated by SATA Aerodromos. PIX Airport serves the areas of Madalena and Azores. Originally, it was a runway built on a remote island, Pico Island before World War 2., although it did not materialize during this period. Construction of the airport began in May 1976, which includes a terminal building and a runway, under the Portuguese Army. However, it was only completed during the ruling of the Regional Government of the Azores.
