The Petrozavodsk Airport is a joint civil-military airport in Russia that’s operated by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Karelia. It’s located 7.5 miles northwest of Petrozavodsk, the capital city of Russia’s Republic of Karelia. The PES airport is mostly serviced by small airliners, including Pobeda Airlines, which flies to Moscow, and Severstal Air Company, which flies to Anapa, Arkhangelsk, Cherepovets District, Sochi, and Simferopol, Crimea.

The Petrozavodsk Airport has a single concrete runway, which is an extensive 8,202 feet in length. Two cafés are found within the terminal building of PES airport and tourists can avail of daily shuttle transfers to get to and from the airport.
