Not to be missed is the annual Paxos Festival, which kicks off the island’s summer festivities and features music, visual arts, and ceramic art.

Overlooking the Ionian Sea is Torri e Merli, a hotel in an 18th-century Venetian building. The upscale Paxos Club Resort & Spa is a short walk to the Paxi ferry terminal while Coralli Hotel offers relaxed lodgings. A perfect place to unwind is at Avlaki Beach amidst a clear blue sea and picturesque setting. The only Byzantine-style church in Paxos, Ypapanti Church is a notable landmark worth visiting and so are the ruins of the Early Christian basilica, Christian Basilica of Ayia Marina.
