Bilaspur Airport - PAB
Bilaspur Airport in Bilaspur, India is a public airport operated by the Airports Authority of India. It serves the regions of Bilaspur, Chakarbhata and Chhattisgarh. There are now commercial scheduled flights being served in the airport. During the 1980s, PAB Airport used to accommodate flights from the region to Delhi and Bhopal. General aviation and pilot training are the usual aircraft movements at the airport. Bilaspur Airport had its commercial license available last December 2018 to be able to operate commercial flights in the area. The PAB Airport was once a training facility for the Indian Special Forces.

The Bilaspur Airport airfield is located 899 feet above mean sea level and features a 5,035 feet long asphalt runway. The runway is 30 meters wide and features turning pads at both ends. Boeing 737s and Airbuses A 320 cannot be accommodated in the apron due to the lack of width needed by such aircrafts for their takeoff distance. Single plane type aircrafts are manageable in the airport such as the ones used by AirAsia India and GoAir. Bilaspur, a nearby city close to the airport is a great destination where you can explore the animals and natural flora of the region.
