Norfolk, New York is one of the quaint and vibrant destinations in St. Lawrence County. The town, located in the northern part of the country had settlers as early as 1869. Although it was originally a part of Louisville, it later became an independent community in 1869. Included in its popular roster of tourist destinations and national heritage includes the Hepburn Library that has been included in the National Register of Historic Places list in 1969. Former Wisconsin State during 1837-1910 Horace Adolphus Taylor was from this town.
