The Diori Hamani International Airport is an airport in Niamey City, Republic of the Niger. It is a public airport that is located in Niamey, Niger and serves the city area and other parts of the country. Its airport code, NIM, stands for the country capital city’s name Niamey. The Armed Forces of Niger is also based in the airport complex.The Base Aérienne 101 by Niger Air Force and used both by US and French armed forces for counter-terrorism is collocated in the airport. The airport is named in tribute to the first President of Niger Hamani Diori. As of 2004, the airport has served 97,814 passengers.
