Best Time to Visit
Newtown has the best weather during the months of November through April. The busiest months are usually February, June, and December. Tourists are least likely to visit in July. Pako Festa is one of the most exciting events nearby. Held every last Saturday of February, it celebrates cultural diversity through a vibrant street festival. It features exhibits, interactive workshops, and many world music stages. However, the highlight of the event is a massive street parade, featuring nearly a hundred floats, and several performances by local ethnic groups and schools. Another event to look forward to is National Celtic Festival, which is held every June. The three-day event aims to promote Celtic culture. The festival offers many stalls selling arts and crafts, and local food products.
