Nabinaud has the best weather during the months of May through October. The busiest months are usually May through July. Tourists are least likely to visit in December. One of the most anticipated events nearby is Cognac Festival, which is held every last weekend of July. In 1997, the festival was born out of the desire of young farmers who wish to promote their products. Today, it aims to promote local wine products as well as local culinary. Primarily, the festival highlights cognac, a fine brandy made out of grapes. Other significant highlights of the event include Charentais local wines and pineau des Charentes. Popular local products during the event include Charentais melon and Marennes oysters. Visitors get to explore the finest of local cuisine and winery, particularly through the many food stalls and 7 bars. Every night, they get to enjoy concerts featuring different local and international artists.

One of the most famous attractions in the area is Golf d’Aubeterre, a nine-hole golf course with a fascinating view. Another must-see destination nearby is Angouleme Cathedral in Angouleme. It features a prominent Romanesque architecture. Its facade features over 70 Romanesque sculptures.
