Montelimar: A Sweet Town for a Sweet Tooth
Montelimar, France is known as the Capital of Nougat, which is a favorite sweet treat among motorists travelling to French Riviera after WWII. It is the second largest town in Provencale Drome next to Valence with a castle built by the Adhemar family in the Middle Ages. It is a town filled with historical chapels and museums known for their Renaissance and Neo-Classical architecture.

Montelimar has both Oceanic and Mediterranean climates and is best visited from May until September and enjoy a sunny vacation while having a road trip or a walk all over town. You may book your travel in advance through TGV Train to have a safe and hassle-free journey. The Sesame Festival occurs every summer and Agglo Festival every July to celebrate music. Thousands of cyclists also gather at Corima Drome Provencale for a bike race during March.

Place du Marche, as the main square, is best if seeking for cafes and arcades. Of course it is not a complete trip if you miss Palais de Bonbons et de Nougat for a chocolatey experience!
