Frans Xavier Seda Airport with the geocode MOF is a public airport handling the aviation needs of Maumere, the capital city of Sikka Regency and the largest town on the island of Flores, in the province of East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Also referred to as Waioti Airport or Maumere Airport, it is run and controlled by UPT Ditjen Hubud, a firm under Ministry of Transportation, Indonesia. Local Indonesian airlines such as Garuda Indonesia, Kalstar Aviation, NAM Air, TransNusa and Wings Air fly from the Frans Xavier Seda Airport to popular routes like Denpasar and Kupang.

Renovations had been recently done in the airport resulting in a new passenger terminal. The single runway has been extended and widened to handle narrow-body aircrafts such as the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 with room for more extensions in the near future. It is now also equipped for nighttime landings and takeoffs. Additionally, the taxiway has also been enlarged and stretched. Currently, the airport’s apron measures 200 m x 120 m. The largest city in Flores, Indonesia, Maumere and its neighboring towns are near the airport allowing its people easy access.

Traveling to the airport in Maumere is undemanding since there are a several fine hotels within the neighboring area. The Hotel Pelita Maumere for instance is only 4 minutes away while the beautiful Capa Maumere is a mere 6 minutes far. It only takes 10 minutes to travel from the Sylvia Hotel to the airport.
