Morelia International Airport, or much better known as the General Francisco Mujica International Airport, is a public international airport operated by GrupoAeroportuariodelPacífico. This international airport is located in the town of Álvaro Obregón, near the city of Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico. The airfield was named in honor of Francisco José Múgica, who was a former governor of the state of Michoacán. General Francisco Mujica International Airport is, by far, the biggest among its kind in the entire state. Its assigned IATA code is MLM, while its assigned ICAO code is MMMM.

The General Francisco Mujica International Airport was officially opened in 1984 and originally offered daily flights to Mexico City via a DC-9 plane. It immediately became one of the fastest-growing aerodromes in entire Mexico until it became an international airport. Currently, five airlines connect General Francisco Mujica International Airport to various parts of Mexico and the US, with its shortest route being Mexico City-Morelia and longest route being Chicago-Morelia. The airfield accommodated over 720,000 passengers in 2018 alone, ranking it as the 28th busiest in the country. Three of the best towns to visit in the area include Morelia, Tarimbaro, and Huandacareo.
