Loei, Thailand may be less populated than the nearby towns and municipalities in the region but it offers big when it comes to fun and adventure. Most of the year is quite rainy in Loei from May to September. It would be ideal to visit during the months of November to the end of March to make the most out of the sun and the activities available during this time of the year. The Dan Sai Ghost Festival is one of the most celebrated and colorful events in Loei, a 3-day event celebrated during the month of July.

Loei Village is a cheaper alternative in terms of accommodation and also close to several conveniences, shops and eateries in the region. Kumlang-Ake Golf Course is another great escape you can enjoy while spending time in the area.
