Guilin Liangjiang International Airport - KWL China
Guilin Liangjiang International Airport, code KWL, is one of the busiest airports in China, operating out of Guilin, Guangxi. In 2014, the airport catered to nearly 6 million passengers, and in 2018, that number rose to nearly 9 million. It is also estimated to ferry over 27,000 tons of cargo a year. Some of its passenger airlines include Air China, Cathay Dragon, and West Air.

Guilin Liangjiang International Airport was opened to the public in 1996 after a 1.85 billion-yuan grant was approved by the State Council of China to construct a new terminal to serve as Guilin’s primary airport. In 2018, all commercial activity was transferred to the newly-erected Terminal 2, which was estimated to cost over 3 billion yuan, with newly-furbished facilities designed to hold as many as 12 million passengers a year. Some of the cities near the airport include Lingui County and Longsheng.
