The public airport serving Kaikoura in New Zealand, the Kaikoura Airport is a small aviation field situated at 4 nautical miles southwest of the said town. It is within South Island, which is one of the 2 major islands of the country, South Island being the 12th largest in the world. KBZ is its airport code, operated by the Kaikoura District Council. The airlines who took part of rendering services to travelers are Air Charter Ltd in the year 1990 until 1991, Sounds Air in 2004 which ended in 2009. Sounds Air started to operate again in 2016 and have continued to do so until December 2017.
