Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center also known as The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center and Theatre is a 250 seat theater. It is a non-profit performing arts establishment located in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. As a large arts theater and museum, the Center attracts local audiences as well as visitors from out of the town areas. It was named after Katharine Hepburn, a 4-time Academy Award winner and Old Saybrook's most celebrated resident. The naming and creation of the arts center was highly recognized by the people and statesmen in the country such as Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell and U.S. Senator Christopher Dodd. The design of the building that houses the arts center was praised as a fine example of the Colonial Revival Style.
