Jiuzhaigou Airport – JZH Huanglong
Jiuzhaigou Airport is a public airport situated in Jiuzhaigou, China. Also called Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport, it is the tenth highest altitude airport in the world. JZH Huanglong is the first airport in the Aba Autonomous Prefecture and serves 800,000 passengers annually.
Best Time to Visit
The airport serves the both the Huanglong National Scenic Reserve and the Jiuzhaigou Valley. Commercial flights are offered by companies like Air China, Chengdu Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Chongquing Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Lucky Air, Shenzhen Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, and West Air. Jiuzhaigou Airport has a two-storey terminal building with four check-in counters. Prior to the 2017 earthquake, the airport receives flights from Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi’an, and Chongqing. Presently, the ones from Chengdu and Chongqing are the only direct flights available. The schedule of the shuttle buses from the Jiuzhaigou Airport to the area’s tourism spots coincide with the flight schedules. Jiuzhaigou National Park sits in quiet isolation in the northeast region of Sichuan Province. The locale is a UNESCO World Heritage site and millions of tourists visit the antediluvian forests and bejeweled lakes.

JiuZhaiGou Xin Tao Ge Tibetan Inn, the Hilton Jiuzhaigou Resort, and the Howard Johnson Tian Yuan Jiuzhaigou are the top-rated hotels of choice when traveling in the area. Aside from being close to the local tourist area, some of these hotels offer tickets booking, car hire, and paid airport shuttle service.
There are no other airports close to the locale. Those traveling by train can only take it up to Jiangyou or Guangyuan and then transfer to a bus. Jiuzhaigou is serviced by two long-distance bus stations which have daily schedules.
