Jeffersonville, New York is a village named after Thomas Jefferson and located in Sullivan County. Original settlers of the region arrived during the early 1800s and originally called the village Winkelried. The village is located in the southern region of the county and is the home of the Sullivan West Central Elementary School. As the settlement grew, several establishements were built in the region.
