Williamsport Regional Airport – IPT
In Williamsport, Pennsylvania is a small regional airport called after the city itself. In the early 1920s, the Williamsport Chamber of Commerce and the City of Williamsport felt the dire need of an aviation to boost their economic impact thus, now the IPT-Williamsport Regional Airport. It is now considered to be a primary commercial service airport by the United States Federal Aviation Administration. There is no imminent military use for Williamsport Regional Airport but PA Air National Guard and Air Force sometimes use it as a training ground.
Best Time to Visit
Williamsport Regional Airport has one passenger terminal following a linear layout and two runways. However, last 2018, the old terminal was torn down and will be converted into a parking lot. A new, more modern, and bigger terminal has been opened and the two runways will undergo rehabilitation soon. American Eagle Airlines in the sole airline company with flights in and out of IPT. The flights are to and from Philadelphia. The airport is known to be a hub for Energy Aviation LLC. From the IPT, you can visit Lemont and Woodward.

Within a few minutes ride are many comfortable Williamsport Regional Airport hotels and accommodations. 2 miles away is the Candlewood Williamsport and for just another mile away is the Comfort Inn Williamsport, both of which are highly rated especially for couple travelers and offer swimming pools. On the other hand, you can also book at the comfy Hampton Inn and Suites Williamsport – Faxon Exit, PA and provides a free airport shuttle service for its guests.
Aside from the IPT, you can also land on Pennsylvania through the PSB-Philipsburg-Mid-State Airport nearby.
