The perfect time to visit Harrington is from March through June and September through November for the best weather. Peak tourist season is usually during February, May, and August. Tourists are least likely to visit in July. One of the most anticipated events in the village is the Harrington Festival: John Gollan Day Celebrations, which is held every New Year’s Day. Celebrating John Gollan, it offers carnival rides, fireworks display, food stalls, live music, model train expo, and a whole lot more.

One of the most prominent attractions in the area is Kattang Nature Reserve, a protected site founded in 1984.
