Best Time to Visit
Perfect weather for the city is on the months of January, March, and September. Book Guangyuan, China hotels during any of these times and you’ll meet lots of tourists on the street. If you book in advance though, you can at least save on the steep prices of a peak-season tour. September 1 is a particularly heavy date since this is when the city celebrates the Daughter Festival in honor of Empress Wu of the Tang Dynasty. During this time, you’ll be able to enjoy a parade of colorful boats on the river, dragon lanterns, and locals garbed in their most splendid clothes. The low season is around the month of June onwards.
